How to remove your Expense scan account and data
Expense scan stores account information, receipt images, and extracted OCR data to provide its services. If you wish to permanently delete your account and associated personal data, follow the steps below.
How to request deletion
- Send an email from the address associated with your Expense scan account to ping@willgibbins.com with the subject Account Deletion Request.
- In the message, include your full name, the email address associated with the account, and any helpful identifiers (for example, a username or sample receipt date) to help us locate your data.
- We will verify your request to ensure security and confirm by reply when deletion is completed or if we need additional information.
What will be deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, profile photo and contact details).
- Receipt images, extracted OCR text, categorized expenses, and any metadata you attached (tags, project/client associations, notes).
- Exports or cloud backups you asked us to store on your behalf.
Deletion requests are typically processed within 7 working days. If you signed up using a third-party identity provider (for example, Apple, Google, or a payment provider), completing deletion may require additional verification steps.
Deleting local data
Deleting your Expense scan account does not automatically remove any exported spreadsheets or local copies you previously saved to your device. To remove local copies, delete exported files and uninstall the app or clear app data through your device settings.
